135 on the market now — each with its school boundaries, sale history and what comparable homes actually sold for.
What it is like
Port Credit is Mississauga’s lakefront village: a compact main street, a marina, and residential streets of older detached homes mixed with newer townhouses and mid-rise condominiums. The former refinery lands to the east are being redeveloped over the coming decades, which is the largest single change ahead for the area.
Getting around
Port Credit GO on the Lakeshore West line reaches Union in roughly twenty minutes with frequent service. The Hazel McCallion Line — the Hurontario LRT — is under construction and will connect Port Credit north through Mississauga to Brampton, meeting the GO station here. MiWay buses serve Lakeshore Road.
Things to see and do
The Port Credit Lighthouse and harbour sit at the river mouth, with the marina and charter boats around it. J.C. Saddington Park and Lakefront Promenade Park give shoreline and picnic ground on either side, and the Waterfront Trail runs through. The Credit River itself is fished for salmon in autumn.
Shops, restaurants and work
Lakeshore Road West through the village is the commercial street — restaurants, patios and independent retail at a walkable scale that is genuinely unusual in Mississauga. The area holds several summer festivals that close the street.
